IT'S SAGA SATURDAY!! My Monthly Review - The Mersey Mistress by Sheila Riley...

    MY REVIEW

This is the first book I have read by Sheila Riley and I am so happy that it is the first book in a brand new series - I am looking forward to catching up with our heroine, hardworking Ruby Swift and young, resislent Anna Cassidy in the following books!

As a writer of historical fiction with strong heroines, The Mersey Mistress was all I love and more in a novel. The are heartrending moments of struggle and survival, touching romance and unfolding drama on every page... add in a fabulous, well-written cast of characters and I am hooked!

Set among the streets of tough, hard streets of Liverpool's Merseyside during the early 20th century, this is a read that will transport you back to a time where living day to day was neither guaranteed nor taken for granted...

Recommended!
