This month's review is for Half A World Away by Mike Gayle - this book was chosen by a friend for our Book Club and it really was a great choice to get our teeth into!
The story is split in points of view by the two protagonists, Kerry and Noah - they are brother and sister who find each other after many, many years apart, having been split up when they were children. The book then explores the emotions and changes the characters endure as they get to know each other and themselves.
It has one life-altering event after another leading to a fascinating read that left me desperate for Kerry and Noah's happy ever afters. The inclusion of their children added texture and care for the main characters as well as adding a sometimes much-needed dose of humour.
A great read!
