GUEST AUTHOR SATURDAY!! Please welcome Amanda McGabe & Kathy L Wheeler...

Welcome to my blog, ladies! It is such a pleasure to have you here and to share in the release of your latest book, Gaming Hell Christmas Vol II - it sounds fanatastic and I have already downloaded my copy. I wish you every success with it. Shall we kick things of with my questions?

1.)              Do you use pictures as inspiration at the start of a book? I do not.

2.)              What is your favourite period drama? Currently, it’s Hamilton, but I also loved the first season of Bridgerton.

3.)              Are the titles of your books important? Yes. Especially, when it comes to series.

4.)              If you’re struggling with a scene or difficult character, what methods help you through it? Sometimes at night, I will try to replay the scene in mind as a “movie” and see what comes from that. Other times, I just start making notes on my ipad late at night.

5.)              Are you an early bird or a night owl? I get up early and start my day with logging sales numbers, then start writing. Do zoom meetings, go back to writing until anywhere from 3:30p to 7p (unless I’m under deadline, then…) My aim is around 1k-2k per day. I would say I’m pretty regimented because I don’t like the stress of being late.

6.)              Who’s your favourite author? Why? I reread a lot of books. Currently, I’m on my fave kick of Susan Elizabeth Phillips because of her dialogue. She makes me laugh.

7.)              Do you have a pet peeve? I need to have the tv going. Not music because I sing and it’s too distracting. I like the news or some low-key documentary for white noise.

8.)              Can you tell me a little about your next project? Outside of Gaming Hell Christmas, my next project in the edit canal (#2 if I’m counting 😊) Captivated by His Countess of my Rebel Lords of London series. It comes in early March.

Gaming Hell Christmas: Volume Two

GAMING HELL CHRISTMAS - VOLUME 2: Mysteries abound at London's most fashionable Hell.

The Thief Who Stole Christmas - Amanda McCabe
A man who has never broken the rules, and a woman who just might break his heart! But Christmas is always a time for second chances...

As one of Miss Greensley's Girls, a member of the exclusive club la Sous Rose, and famous author Lady L, Victoria Lanford moves easily through Society ballrooms. Few people know how her unhappy childhood and anxiety led her to pickpocketing (yet, she did return the jewels)! When she comes face-to-face with old flame Rhys Neville, Earl of Hammond, she knows the kind-hearted, straight-laced, devilishly handsome lord is not for her—especially once the past comes back to haunt them. Why, then, can't she stop thinking about their kisses?

The Kerse Who Saved Christmas - Kathy L Wheeler
Kerse: He, of the no nonsense approach, is stymied by She, a woman considered long past prime marriageability who needs a keeper more than he requires a wife. Yet the dreamy-eyed, impractical, and much too optimistic Philomena still manages to steal his heart despite her unrealistic beliefs and trust in fortune tellers.

Author Bio – Amanda wrote her first romance at the age of sixteen--a vast historical epic starring all her friends as the characters, written secretly during algebra class (and her parents wondered why math was not her strongest subject...)

She's never since used algebra, but her books have been nominated for many awards, including the RITA Award, the Romantic Times BOOKReviews Reviewers' Choice Award, the Booksellers Best, the National Readers Choice Award, and the Holt Medallion.  She lives in Santa Fe with a Poodle, a cat, a wonderful husband, and a very and far too many books and royal memorabilia collections.

When not writing or reading, she loves taking dance classes, collecting cheesy travel souvenirs, and watching the Food Network--even though she doesn't cook.
