IT'S SAGA SATURDAY!! Book Review - Until We Can Forgive by Rosemary Goodacre

It is with great sadness that the author of this book, Rosemary Goodacre, recently passed away. I was shocked to hear such sad news when I felt I had come to know Rosemary through her social media and membership of the Romantic Novelists Association.

I am pleased to be a part of her tour for her latest book - here is my review:

Until We Can Forgive is the third book in the Derwent series (all books can be read stand alone) - set in the Spring of 1919, WWI is over and now it is left to families and communities to rebuild their lives amid the aftermath of such great human loss and sacrifice.

The book centres around the romance of Vicky and Max, a hopeful young couple who come from very different backgrounds and lives but, somehow, seem destined to fight every obstacle in the path to their happily ever after.

This book is tender, moving and encapsulates what must have been an extremely difficult time for the UK and so many countries around the world. At the beginning, I found the number of characters mentioned quite hard to place but I am sure this is because I haven't read the first two books in the series. That said, it did not take away from the enjoyment of Vicky and Max's journey.

I send all my thoughts and condolences to Rosemary's family...
