Inspire Me!

This week's Inspire Me! is all about Victoria Beckham...

There has been countless articles written and photos taken of Victoria Beckham ever since she exploded onto our TV screens and radios as part of, what turned out to be, the ultra-successful girl group, The Spice Girls.

In the last 22 years (what??) since the Spice Girls hit number 1 with Wannabe, Victoria Beckham went onto to enjoy an unprecedented string of hits with her band mates as well as marrying one of our most famous and revered football stars, David Beckham.

When the Spice Girls went their separate ways, we could be forgiven for thinking there was every possibility Victoria Beckham would disappear from the public eye. This wasn't to be the case.

Over the last two decades, this determined ex-girl band member has become a respected businesswoman and fashion designer. Worth millions in her own right, Victoria Beckham has staunchly retain her image leaving us wondering who the woman behind the brand really is, BUT, for this, I applaud her. She is mother to four children and although an instantly recognisable face, we know very little about her family/private life.

For a woman who is the more or less exactly same age as me (our birthdays are a week apart), I hold Victoria Beckham in high regard and find her an inspiration as a woman who has shown just what can be achieved through hard work and tenacity. Long may she continue to conquer!
