This month's review is for Silent Scream by Angela Marsons - a serial killer crime novel.
This author was recommended to me by a friend and as a fan of crime fiction, especially series, I was more than happy to give Silent Scream a try and so glad I did.
Silent Scream introduces DI Kim Stone and her team as they are called in to investigate the murder of a school headmistress found dead in her bath tub. All too soon, this killing leads DI Stone to uncovering the human remains of other victims, unearthing a serial killer who has gone without detection for a number of years.
There are some fantastic twists and turns to the story and the characters, from protagonist DI Stone to all the other secondary characters are well-developed and unarguably human. The story is full of high tension, cat and mouse chases and races against time. All in all a really great read for fans of crime fiction!
I look forward to reading book 2 in the series, Evil Games...
