Hi Everyone,
My name is
Anna James and I write contemporary romance and romantic suspense with strong heroes
and heroines that conquer life’s trials and find their happy ever afters.
I’d like to
thank Rachel Brimble for having me here today.
As a writer,
I’m often asked where I find ideas for my stories. The truth is, ideas come from
everywhere, including places you wouldn’t imagine. This is the case for CHASING
MEMORIES – Book 2 Forevermore Series. I would have never have guessed a run-of-the-mill
business trip would inspire a book, but it did.
Three years
ago I found myself in Miami, FL searching out venues for a seminar my company wanted
to hold. I had a blast visiting many high-end plush hotels in the area with their
ultra-modern, sleek designs, and the boutique hotels influenced by the Art Deco
district.
The idea for
this novel struck me as I strolled down the boardwalk enjoying the afternoon sun.
A romance novel set here in Miami Beach. My hero could be a luxury hotel owner,
and thus Lucas Morgan, the hero in CHASING MEMORIES was born. No romance novel is
complete without a feisty heroine for the hero. I matched him with India Leone,
a former childhood actress turned interior designer. Throw a case of amnesia into
the mix and a murderer, the heroine can’t remember, and voila…
Here’s a little
snippet from the story to whet your appetite:
Lucas
Morgan wants to know the cause of the hit-and-run accident that killed his grandmother,
and he’s certain the truth is locked inside the head of India Leone—an interior
designer apparently suffering an all-too-convenient case of amnesia.
Determined
to either trip her up in a lie, or wait for her memories to return, Lucas
offers India a job at one of the luxury hotel properties he’s developing. He
never thought he’d wind up falling for the woman at the top of his suspect
list.
India
isn’t so sure herself how she ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Until her memories return, how can she possibly move on with her life? The
police say she’s innocent, but too many questions linger.
Desperate
to get away, she seizes Lucas’s offer, never expecting to fall in love with
him. Or that he would be keeping secrets that could not only break her heart,
but cost her her life.
