Thrilled to welcome fellow RNA member, Georgina Troy...

Hi Georgina! So great to have you here today and to be a part of your ongoing tour - I'm looking forward to learning more about you and your ongoing series with Accent Press! Let's get started with my questions...

1.    What do you wish men understood about women?
That when we say something like, ‘Would you take the bins out?’ we’re not actually asking a question but reminding them that it needs doing.

2.    Do you only work on one book at a time?
I try to, so that I can really connect with the characters in my work in progress and not be distracted by other characters.

3.    Who is your favorite fictional couple?
I suppose it has to be Margaret Hale and John Thornton from Elizabeth Gaskell’s North and South.

4.    Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?
‘This too will pass.’ It reminds me to make the most of a happy situation and not to fret about a difficult one that’s worrying me.

5.    Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
When I’m working on the first draft of a book I try to write at least 1,000 words a day and when I’m deeply into the story I can write up to 5,000, but usually it’s around 1,500 words each day. On the days that I’m not working on a first draft the writing will be less because I’m either editing, or playing around with ideas.

6.  What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook? Why?
I prefer Facebook because I don’t have to stick to 140 characters. I’m a bit of a chatterbox.

7.    What are you working on now?
I’m working on the fourth book in my Jersey Scene series, A Jersey Bombshell. The book has been written but now I’m waiting for my editor to read it so I can work on the edits, and then the fun will begin.

8.    Tell us about your latest release and where we can find it.

My latest book is the third book in my Jersey Scene series and is called A Jersey Dreamboat. It can be found on Amazon and in bookshops and is about two friends who are event planners. Izzy and Jess have been badly let down when a Jersey socialite hires them for the busiest weeks of the season and then cancels at the last minute, leaving them with no bookings and no money.

Feeling despondent, they try a night out to cheer themselves up, and meet the Ed, who invites the two on a luxury yacht cruise to Nice. Romance builds through heady days of blue skies and warm seas, but when a last-minute wedding booking is offered, the girls must return to Jersey, and real life has to begin again … or has it?
