What do you wish men understood about women?
I wish more men understood that women like to be thought about. Grand gestures aren’t necessary, but small things that show your mind is on us during the day are so sweet. Pick us up some flowers when you’re at the grocery store, or write a little surprise note and put it somewhere you know we’ll find it. I’m a big fan of love notes. It’s so easy to do and gives us something to keep and re-read later.

Do you only work on one book at a time?
Usually. There have been a couple of times where I’ve been stuck on a book though. My characters will clam up and stop talking, and I’ll go work on another book while I’m waiting for the silent treatment to end, but normally, I start writing a book and finish it before starting another.

Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of
chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
I don’t set goals unless I’m doing National Novel Writing Month. Normally I just sit and let the words fly, then check word count when I’m done. I rarely take a day off though unless I’m between books. I allow myself time off after I’ve finished one as a reward though.

What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on edits for the last book in my Dead Rapture trilogy. I just finished the final book, Love Starts With Z, and am now preparing it to submit to my publisher. Writing is way more fun than editing ;)
