Welcome to the Grown-Ass Man Tour!!

Good morning, lovely Readers &Visitors!!

This week I'm teaming up with 6 other Omnific Publishing authors to drum up some support for those older heroes we love so much…experience, wisdom and fatherhood can add up to a super-sexy hero that very few of us could resist ;)

My hero, Jack Beaton is the perfect match for my heroine, Sienna Lloyd in my romantic comedy 16 MARSDEN PLACE. Pretty much from the moment Jack appears onstage - sexy, handsome, built and more than ready for her sharp wit - the sexual tension between these two sizzles!

I had so much fun writing this book and Jack was one of easiest and most enjoyable heroes to get to know. He's a father who idolises his kids and will do anything to make their lives happy and lessen the pain of their earlier years. What's not to love??

Here's the blurb from 16 Marsden Place…

There isn't a situation that can't be fixed by a coat of chocolate body paint or a liberal smear of Champagne Lick, right? Wrong!

Ever since her father was murdered by a gang of youths, Sienna Lloyd has named herself Potterford's protector--her sexy lingerie shop is a place where the town's women can visit and feel safe. But when that shop is in danger of closing, Sienna needs a solution that will keep her in Potterford, where she can always look out for her mother, friends, and clients.

The answer? Move the shop to her home at 16 Marsden Place. The problem? Her new neighbor, the delicious but seriously uptight Jack Beaton. Oh, and his four-year-old twin girls.

Jack has just moved to the tiny town of Potterford in a bid to start over. To build a new life that keeps his children safe from his alcoholic ex-wife. So when he discovers his neighbor intends to open a sex shop right next door, Jack will do anything to ensure it doesn't happen... including fighting every ounce of his attraction to the shop's owner and his innate need to trust again.

Fictional dads add a certain something to romance novels that cannot be created with men yet to have the ultimate love and responsibility come into their lives - children! I'll put my neck out there and say the majority of romance readers are mothers and nothing is more important to mums than their kids. If we are still happily married to our kids' dads, or separated from them, each of us is protective and wary of anyone new coming into our kids' lives. With 16 MARSDEN PLACE I turned that thinking around and made Jack the dad who has stayed around, divorced from a woman who walked out on their children and now he is the one wary of introducing anyone new to his beloved four-year-old twins.

When he moves with Katy and Holly to the small UK town of Potterford, the last woman he expects to fall in love with is sexy lingerie shop owner, Sienna Lloyd…what he expects even less is the bond that builds between Sienna and the twins. There is fun, laughter, tears and heartfelt fear along the way…but man, the journey is good!

Let's hear is for our Grown-Ass Men!

  3. Hi Rachel. Great post. I wonder if we should someday write a post about the senior grown-ass man. I've seen a few doing laps in a pool. I recall being shocked to see hm stand in his snug trunks, great physicque, and discover he's a grandfather. I wonder if granny's think of their hubby as sexy, LOL.

  4. Hehe, your idea is cracking me up, Feather!

There are very few things that'll reel me in quicker than a man who's a great dad. When my kids were little I was always so enamored with the dads who gave up their weekends to coach the li'l sports teams.

Thanks for representing the dads in this event!

  5. This is a fun tour! And 16 Marsden Place sounds so good! I do like romance stories where the male is a (good) dad - though I would like to go on record and say I am not a mother. :P

  6. There's no quicker way to my heart than to see a man interact with children. To see one take on the role of single dad would catapult him to the top of my to-do list lol. Let the baking begin! Jack seems a doll and 16 Marsden Place a sweet read.

    1. I totally agree! My husband is not a bad catch or father - even when I want to be mad with him, I can't once I see him with our children…kinda frustrating, lol! *joke*

  13. I find devoted dad heroes soooooooooooo attractive. Their priorities have switched from the selfishness of their early twenties to making decisions based on someone else's well being. Your book sounds so good, Rachel!! Right up my alley!
