1. Do you ever wish you were someone else?
Who?
I’ve never wanted to be someone else
really, but there are plenty of books and movies I’ve wished I could step into.
The Outlander series would be a fantastic adventure to join. Trading places
with any of Karen Marie Moning’s heroines in her highlander series would be
divine. I’ve lead a very adventurous life, so adding to my personal experiences
as me would make me happy.
2. What did you do on your last birthday?
My husband took me on a shopping spree at
the mall. I spent $250 in fifteen minutes at Barnes and Noble … go figure, I
love books.
3. Do you have any tattoos?
I don’t have any tattoos, but my belly
button is pierced. I have a fantasy tattoo though. I’m a huge Philadelphia
Eagles football fan. The tattoo is on the inside of my wrist, an Eagle’s helmet
with the classic team mantra “Bleed Green” elegantly scrolled underneath.
4. What are you working on right now?
Books three and four of the Blind Series, Blind Redemption and Blind Fury, and a new project with an
author I deeply admire. We’re coauthoring a new Viking series. Additionally,
I’ve completed Books I and II of my first contemporary series (The Devil’s Den
Series) on which I’ll have big news to share soon.
5. Is your life anything like it was two
years ago?
No. I’m writing fulltime now. And have
teamed up with an excellent writer to produce a new Viking series. Two years
ago I was penning my first novel, Blind
Allegiance, and working as a scientist. As an established author with a
debut novel that exceeded all my personal expectations, I have more confidence
and capability managing my career and dealing with the challenges. Now Blind Mercy is out and I’m so excited.

BLURB:
The Sigurdsson family legacy continues…
A woman who prayed for a hero…
Orphaned at a young age, Rachelle Fiennes prayed for a hero
to rescue her from her tragic life in England. When her only kinsman goes
missing after the Battle of Stamford Bridge, Rachelle braves the aftermath of
the battlefield to find him.
A man who lost everything…
Damned by the gods for surviving the bloodiest defeat in
Norse history, Jarl Tyr Sigurdsson is still determined to get home. Hiding
until nightfall so he can escape to his ship, his dangerous endeavor is
disrupted when he’s accidentally discovered by a beautiful Saxon.
Brought together by war, Rachelle and Tyr face many
obstacles. Can sworn enemies find peace through love, or will fate be cruel?
EXCERPT
Cursed witch. Things were much
easier in Norway. Without giving it another thought, Tyr lowered his weapon,
then grabbed a fistful of his captive’s hair. He’d give in to her dimwitted
request to pacify her, but not without satisfying his own need for revenge.
“Horse. Food,” he demanded.
“I’d rather die than betray my
country—” the criminal started.
In response, Tyr thumped his
head. He sank down, shaking and whining.
Sick with rage, Tyr stared at
Rachelle. “This situation is ripe for trouble.” His only concern should be for
his own survival.
She addressed her countryman. “If you refuse him, he’ll cut
your heart out.”
For a noblewoman, she had a way
with words. Tyr nearly laughed out loud at the absurdity of what came out of
her mouth. He’d learned something important about her though. Either she’d
experienced more violence than any woman should or she was as frigid as an ice
shelf. Regardless, her warning changed the Saxon’s mind.
The man pointed at his camp.
“There are horses and food over there.”
With a twist of an earlobe, Tyr
forced him to his feet. Tyr harbored a special hatred for rapists. If he
couldn’t disembowel the bastard, he’d find another way to make him suffer. It
didn’t take long. A grin spread across Tyr’s face as he framed the man’s
punishment in his mind. Tyr would tie a noose around his neck, loop the rope
over a high branch, and make him sit astride a horse with his hands tied behind
his back. If the drukkin moved, he’d hang himself.

ReplyDeleteVioletta, it's my birthday in a couple of weeks. Does your husband want to take me to Barnes and Noble? I could probably spend $500 in 15 minutes. lol

Hello Vita, glad you enjoyed it. :)
DeleteHaha! $250 in 15 minutes at Barnes and noble. I wish someone did that for me. On second thought maybe they'd need to raise that to $300. I always need more books cause I read really fast. I loved the interview. :)
ReplyDeleteHello Monique, readers ALWAYS need $$$ for books. I understand. LOL. Thanks for visiting today.
Deletelol I think I would have probably been in heaven, having a shopping spree at a book store. I once almost missed a movie because I was too busy checking out the books at a children's hospital fundraiser. My boyfriend at the time was not impressed, but he really just didn't understand, not being a book lover and all. :)
ReplyDeletePlaying a mad game of catch up here! I would like Amazon GC...my favorite place to shop.
