- What do you wish men
understood about women?
Lol!
Let me get out my list… One thing that comes to mind is that although women are
perfectly capable of doing things for themselves, we do appreciate the little
things, like having the restaurant door opened for us, manners at the table,
and remembering what brand of coffee or tea we enjoy. I wish men would remember
women need to be shown they are cherished far more than once or twice a year,
not simply because the calendar reminded them it was an anniversary or holiday.
For
our visitors: I’d love to hear what you wish men understood about women.
- Do you only work on one
book at a time?
I’d
love to focus on only one book at a time, but I’m working on multiple projects.
I have my River series, I have a fantasy romance series, and I’m working on a
four-book contemporary romance novella series. Having them all in the works at
once is handy for when I need a change of pace or a story needs a little time
to simmer. Since I’m a pantser, I do like being able to hop from story to story
within its series. It’s rather like writing one enormous novel.
- Who is your favorite fictional couple?
That’s
too hard to choose! I have too many favorites. If I were forced to narrow it
down, I always love Eloisa James’ couples and Toni Blake’s heroines and heroes
in her Destiny series. That’s one of the things I love about romance, there are
so many wonderful stories, from sweet light-hearted romps, to dark and
suspenseful, and heart-wrenching emotional dramas. This is why I have so many
full bookcases!
- Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?
Dreams can come true. However, it might require pain, sweat,
and/or tears, and you definitely can’t sit around just hoping. It’s up to you
to reach for them.
- Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
This year I’m trying a daily word count goal and trying for
800 words a day. It’s a stretch, and some days are just impossible, but I did
decently overall in January. However, for the month of February, I’m
participating in a word count challenge with my NJRW chapter to do 30k in 28
days. We’ll see how that goes. I don’t write for a set length of time, but I do
write in the morning before work and in the evening.
- What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook? Why?
I originally liked Twitter better, because of
the brevity, but I’m beginning to enjoy Facebook as well. From the social
aspect of them, I should probably hang out and interact at both of them more,
but I keep them closed while I’m working and writing. So many distractions! lol
- What are you working on now?
I’m nearly finished with my next novel in my River series, Love Burns, so fingers crossed for that
one to be done and submitted soon. This story takes off right from where Clear As Day ends. I love this couple’s
chemistry, and while it’s been a challenge to complete, I’ve enjoyed seeing
their story come to life as they work through their personal trials and find
their own happily ever after together. I’m also working on other stories for
couples from the circle of friends in my River series. And then I’m working on
a four book contemporary romance novella series set at some of my favorite New
Jersey shore towns. I also have a fantasy series that’s simmering on the back
burner while I focus on these contemporary stories. Thank goodness for coffee!

Summertime
Dream is my new spicy contemporary romance novel from The Wild
Rose Press, about a workaholic consultant who simply wants to unload the
dilapidated house he inherited, but a writer struggling with her overprotective
family, his grandmother’s mysterious past, and unexpected love challenge him to
reassess his lifestyle and he discovers the home he never knew he needed. It’s
the second novel in my River series, which began with Clear As Day. Summertime Dream is a prequel to Clear
As Day, and occurs the summer before, but the stories can be read in either

Blurb:
The Fourth of July is over, but for these summer
lovers the fireworks have just begun.
An unexpected inheritance brings business
consultant Christopher Gordon from Los Angeles to quaint Falk’s Bend. He’s
carved a week from his demanding schedule to list his great-grandparents’ house
for sale and explore his roots. However, disturbing family secrets and the
sweet temptation of writer Margie Olsson derail his plans, challenging him to
seize the elusive dream missing from his hectic life— love.
A recent brush with death shook Margie’s life,
but not her dreams and she’s ready to move forward. Only, standing up to her
loving, over-protective family isn’t easy. Helping Christopher explore the
derelict mansion and unravel his grandmother’s mysterious past should be a
harmless fun taste of independence. But when her experimental summer fling
ignites into unexpected love, how can her small town dreams work with his big
city life?
Come fall in love at the river.
