Hi Tera! Great to have you here today - I'm looking forward to learning more about you and your writing :) Glad to host a fellow Kensington author…especially one with such a fabulous cover!
I wish more men understood that women like to be thought about. Grand gestures aren’t necessary, but small things that show your mind is on us during the day are so sweet. Pick us up some flowers when you’re at the grocery store, or write a little surprise note and put it somewhere you know we’ll find it. I’m a big fan of love notes. It’s so easy to do and gives us something to keep and re-read later.
Usually. There have been a couple of times where I’ve been stuck on a book though. My characters will clam up and stop talking, and I’ll go work on another book while I’m waiting for the silent treatment to end, but normally, I start writing a book and finish it before starting another.
Jamie and Claire Fraser. I lovelovelove the Outlander series.
Eeek, that’s tough. At the moment it’s Castle. Loves me some Nathan Fillion.
I don’t set goals unless I’m doing National Novel Writing Month. Normally I just sit and let the words fly, then check word count when I’m done. I rarely take a day off though unless I’m between books. I allow myself time off after I’ve finished one as a reward though.
My husband this morning before he went to work. I’m addicted to hugs.
Right now I’m working on edits for the last book in my Dead Rapture trilogy. I just finished the final book, Love Starts With Z, and am now preparing it to submit to my publisher. Writing is way more fun than editing ;)
Lyrical Press/Kensington just released my historic western romance, An Unwilling Husband. Right now, it’s available wherever eBooks are sold, but will also be available in print soon.
Tera Shanley writes in sub-genres that stretch from Paranormal Romance, to Historic Western Romance, to Apocalyptic (zombie) Romance. The common theme? She loves love! A self-proclaimed bookworm, she was raised in small town Texas and could often be found decorating a table at the local library. She currently lives in Dallas with her husband and two young children and when she isn’t busy running around after her family, she’s writing a new story or devouring a good book. Any spare time is dedicated to chocolate licking, rifle slinging, friend hugging, and the great outdoors. For more information about Tera and her work, visit www.terashanley.com.
