Women's Fiction is fluid and changing... so is the definition BUT the well accepted one is a novel wherein the MC and her relationships, trials and emotional growth are the focus and the story itself comes second. They are often tear jerkers and may not have an emotionally fulfilling ending for the reader. No big wrap up, just a moving forward of the characters. Clear as mud, right? LOL I agree!Julie Anne Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16370841930540931435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8069838286740509518.post-92052072213521971772011-12-20T10:49:14.328-08:002011-12-20T10:49:14.328-08:00Thanks for the interview. So...what is "women's fiction." Do you consider Jodi Picoult in that genre? I like Picoult, but recently tried to read what is likely "women's fiction" and just couldn't finish it. Partly, I could tell you why, but partly...it's one of those subjective reactions. But, and a guy who's a reading fool, I'm curious about your views on female-oriented material. Also, in YA have you read 13 REASONS WHY by Jay Asher? Had him as a speaker at my writer's group. Powerful story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8069838286740509518.post-68463491110431172862011-12-20T05:10:13.131-08:002011-12-20T05:10:13.131-08:00Thanks Heather LOL!!
