Hi Abbey! So great to welcome you to my blog - I adore the cover of your latest release, TOUCHED - wishing you much success and sales! Let's kick off with my questions...

1.)              What is your favourite thing about yourself?
Being an author (I still have to pinch myself that I can actually say that) And my hair is okay… sometimes. With three hairdressers in the family, including me, there really is no excuse when I turn up on the school run with the ‘distracted and dishevelled writer’ look.
2.)              What do you wish you’d known before you started writing?
How much time, commitment and dedication it would take.
3.)              Share a romantic moment in your life.
The day my husband proposed. We were in Turkey – one of the many places we visited on our travels, BC (Before Children). We experienced an earthquake – nothing big but still frightening. Afterwards, hubby got down on one knee and popped the question. No ring, no forethought, nothing, but I said yes and we’ve been together for thirty years.
4.)              Is there one subject you’d never write about as an author? What is it?
Politics. Ugh!
5.)              Do you have any suggestions to help someone become a better writer? If so, what are they?
I know everyone says it, but read and write – every day if you can. And join a writing group. Share your work no matter how much you think it’s not ready. Develop a thick skin and take every piece of criticism, good or bad, and learn from it.
6.)              If you could be the original author for any book, what would it be? Why? Oh, that’s a difficult question because it changes all the time.  Whenever I read something I can’t put down, it makes me think ‘I wish I could have written that’. If I had to name someone though, I would say Rae Rivers -  I’m totally addicted to the ‘The Keepers’ series.
7.)              What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?
I was always Miss Goody Two Shoes growing up, but I remember one incident when I was about ten or eleven. An older boy on a bicycle rode passed me outside my house. I accidentally got in his way and he swore at me. I waited until he got to the end of the road before I shouted – no, screamed - the swear word back at him. My dad was in the garage and he heard, and oh boy did I get into trouble.
8.)              If I came to your house for dinner what would you prepare for me? Why?
Oh dear, are you sure you want to risk it, Rachel? I’d probably ask my other half to cook as kitchen skills are not my thing. My hubby and four kids would have great fun recounting all the meal disasters I’ve served them over the years. Like the time the haddock I lovingly spooned into the fish pie completely vanished during cooking and we ended up eating what was basically mashed potatoes and white sauce. Yum! Think Wendy Craig in Butterflies (a sit-com from the 80s) and that pretty much sums it up.
So, back to what I’d do for dinner. I get my hubby to knock up his awesome tomato-based sauce, and I’d serve it with chorizo sausage and pasta – I can manage that part. And to follow, I’d make my famous (or infamous!) lemon cheesecake. Don’t worry, it’s a recipe my mum used to make - dead easy and super impressive.

Chemistry sizzles between them but there’s a problem—the hybrid’s curse. Cami’s touch, skin to skin, proves near fatal to her and all immortals, Joseph included.
