Welcome contemporary romance author, Rachel Hanna...

Hi, Rachel! So happy to welcome you to my blog today :) I love your cover, so intriguing - a definite eye-catcher...

Hope you enjoy your time here, I'm off to look you up on Twitter. It's my favorite place to be when I should be writing, LOL!

1)   What is your writing routine?

Routine? I'm supposed to have a routine? :) Every day is really different for me. I have three kids, and we homeschool, and my husband is a writer.... so, our days are crazy busy! But, I try to get some writing done every single day no matter what. I try to write early in the day on my iPad and reserve the rest of the day for marketing, chatting with readers and reading books by my own favorite authors.

2)   Which is your favorite romance subgenre to read? To write?

I love to write contemporary romance, and I love to read that plus New Adult romance.

3)   What do you expect from an editor?

I expect an editor to catch any errors, of course, and to turn things around fairly quickly. I also ask my editor to look for holes in the plot or areas where I can improve.

4)   What are you working on right now?

I am currently working on book 2 in my new January Cove series. It is all about another one of the Parker brothers named Aaron. Readers loved his brother Kyle in book 1, so I know they will adore the youngest brother just as much!

5)   Your biggest piece of advice to aspiring novelists?

Keep writing! Don't stop. Don't let “failure” stop you ever. Just keep writing because you will keep improving the more that you write. Don't try to be like anyone else. If you're authentic and do things the way YOU do them, that will come across to your readers.

6)   What was your favorite subject in school and why?

I loved English/Language Arts, of course. I loved to read and write anything and everything. I even won a poetry contest in my area in the third grade. I will never forget my teacher telling me that I would be a writer one day, and I believed her. I still say that she had the most impact on me in the third grade because she was the first person to notice my talent and groom me for what I was good at.

7)   What is your favorite dessert?

Ooohh.... The hardest question of all! I love tiramisu and crème brulee.... and chocolate pie. :)

8)   High heels, sneakers or flip flops?

If I lost a few pounds, I might say high heels. But, I would probably say sneakers! I'm more interested in comfort these days.

10)                  Where can readers find you?

Readers can find me in a few ways. I hang out on my Facebook page a LOT. You can find that here: https://www.facebook.com/rachelhannaromance.

I am also on my website at www.RachelHannaRomance.com and on Twitter @RachelHannaBook. In addition, I am on Goodreads at http://www.goodreads.com/rachelhanna.

Broken: Secrets in Madison Falls
by Rachel Hanna

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
When twenty-four year old Bella Clay experiences yet another major loss in her life, she is forced to come home and become a young, single mother to her seven year old nephew. No one in the small town of Madison Falls knows just how damaged she is, and they certainly don't know her dirty little secret about where she's been for the last two years.
Grant Brady is the local hunk who works as the elementary school PE and history teacher. When he takes an interest in helping Bella start over in Madison Falls, she tries to push him away afraid that he will find out her dark secrets. What she doesn't know is that Grant has a secret of his own.
Will love prevail or will one or both of them run for the hills out of fear?
This book is a novella, so you can enjoy it in just one day! :)
EXCERPT
 Desiree fell to her knees in the dingy bathroom. Her eyes glazed over with tears as her stomach churned into a sea of nausea. She was sure she had blacked out for a moment before she vomited into the toilet that was thankfully close to her. Falling apart was not something she was accustomed to doing. She had always been the protector when it came to Lori, but now the one person she swore she would always protect was gone. Just like her Mom.
Gathering her things, she put on her clothes and swung open the door to the bathroom. Brushing past Nathan and Derek, she headed for the door. Getting to her car was her only concern at that point as tunnel vision took her over.
“Desiree, where in the hell do you think you’re going?” Nathan called to her as she grabbed the handle to leave.
“I have an emergency,” she said gritting her teeth. It should have been obvious that her eyes were swollen and red from crying, and her supposedly waterproof mascara was cascading down her sunken cheeks.
“I don’t give a damn about your so-called emergency, Desiree. You signed a contract…” he started to say as he grabbed her arm tightly.
“Let go of me, Nathan, or I swear to God I will kill you right here and now,” she growled at him as she stared him down nose-to-nose. After a pause, he loosened his grip, and she jerked her arm away as she ran out the door.
“You will never work in this town again!” he yelled behind her.
“Good!” she yelled back as she slammed the door on her VW Bug and sped out of the parking lot.
