Good morning, lovely followers and readers!!

I have decided to start a new spot on Saturdays when I can take the opportunity to tell you what I've been up to all week, any upcoming news or anything else I want to share :)

People often comment on my Twitter and FB page that I constantly seem to be working - The reason? I am, LOL!!

Okay, so what's been keeping me busy this week??

FINDING JUSTICE (Templeton Cove Book 1) - the week long blog tour of my Harlequin Superromance debut was fun and successful. I got to talk to a LOT of new readers as well as my loyal, lovely readers who keep coming back for more :) I've received seven ratings and three reviews on Goodreads and the book is averaging at 4.3 stars in its first two weeks which is fantastic. Happy Rachel!

Old friends, new secrets

Sergeant Cat Forrester lives by her own set of rules. When her childhood friend is murdered, Cat's world is thrown into chaos. Especially because Jay Garrett-a man from her past-is a suspect, and he needs her help to prove he's innocent. After all they once shared, how can she say no?

The attraction flares between them, and getting involved with a suspect is a huge risk. But the more time Cat spends with Jay, the stronger the tug on her heart. He is the same caring, irresistible man she remembers. Yet she can't let her emotions interfere with the case—solving it is top priority. But as she digs deeper, she discovers Jay has secrets that may jeopardize any possible future together.

A MAN LIKE HIM - (Templeton Cove Book 2)

I've been busy finishing the final line edits which will be whizzing their way back to my editor TODAY - YAY!!

The book is already available for pre-order from Amazon US so I am desperately waiting for the cover art - my FAVORITE part of the whole process! I'm sure Barnes & Noble and the Book Depository in the UK will follow suit shortly too.

Release date is August 6th 2013

Here's the working blurb:

When a freak twenty-four hour downpour floods the caravan park and surrounding area in Templeton Cove, terror and fear rushes through the town. Lives are lost and devastation rips livelihoods and families apart. The hero of the day is a visitor to the Cove. Saving women and children without thought or feeling for his own safety, overnight Chris Forrester becomes a local hero.
Having come to the Cove to get over the heartbreak of his cheating fiancée, notoriety and admiration is the last thing Chris wants. Alone and uncaring of his life, until one survivor profoundly changes him forever…
Angela Taylor is afraid – afraid of her ex-husband who vowed to one day track her down and kill her. When her picture is plastered over the UK press, showing her in Chris Taylor’s arms, Angela knows it’s only a matter of time before her ex-husband arrives at Templeton Cove…

LOVE'S GRAND STAGE (working title) - sequel to "The Seduction of Emily" (available April 2013 from eKensington).

I have finally finished the book and will spend the next few weeks polishing it to within an inch of its life, ready to send to my agent by April 1st. I am really proud of this book and it is by far my favorite Victorian romance that I've written thus far. Hope you, my agent and editor at eKensington agree!

Finally....

The synopsis and first three chapters of TEMPLETON COVE BOOK 3 are done and will be winging their way to my agent this weekend. First crossed she gives the go ahead and then we can submit to my Harlequin editor. Let the nail-biting begin!

So that's my past week in a nutshell - wonder what next week will bring!!

Love,

Rachel x

  1. You're amazing, Rachel. You should give a class in how to stretch those 24 hours to fit in everything you do. I'd like to sign up! LOL! Keep doing what you're doing - it's obviously working.

    1. Never forget I'm home ALL the time! I worked part time for a year or so awhile ago as well as taking care of my two young daughters and writing...I was a savage human being!! Not a day goes by that I don't appreciate being at home. I'm in awe of writers who work at jobs too.

Time management - maybe that will be my first workshop. Then again, it doesn't take long to say "Tip 1 - ignore housework." ;)
