Ahh, you guys are so sweet!!!

I am the honored recipient of the prestigious Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award, presented to me by Jannine Gallant a terrific writer and a very good friend of mine from across the pond. I try to keep my blog updated as much as possible with guests, general chit-chat about me and my writing so i'm glad you haven't all found it so boring it reduces you to tears, lol!!
Receiving this award means sharing 7 random facts about me, so here goes.

1) I can eat four or five jam (jelly) doughnuts in a row and never feel guilty about it ;)

2) I live just half an hour's drive from the famous Georgian city of Bath in one direction and the gorgeous Cotswold villages in the other. I LOVE where I live!

3) I am a survivor of the 2010 French floods where overnight 25 people lost their lives.

4) I can't write unless the house is quiet. But I can edit when it's noisy.

5) The best bit of my dog is the space between his eyes and I kiss it as much as possible every day.

6) I am almost 38 years old and have never cooked a roast dinner...and feel zero shame! ;)

7) I am passionate about slavery, the American Civil and the civil rights movement of the 1960s - one day I will write the book of my dreams and it will centre around these issues.

Now that you all know how strange I am, I'm giving the award to these 7 stellar bloggers. Ladies, it's time to reveal 7 facts about yourselves and pass the sweetness.

I would also like to thank my good friend, Margo Hoornstra, for honoring me with the Liebster Award. This award is for a stick-to-it attitude, and while I'm only supposed to give it to 5 bloggers, all the above ladies have the perseverance to deserve this one, too!

  1. I enjoyed learning more about you, Rachel. I would love to read that dream book of yours! I also love that you can edit when it's noisy. Thanks for the interesting read.

  2. Love the donut one. We all need a secret vice!

  3. I love these kinds of things, where you get to learn little bits about someone. As a fellow dog lover, I loved number 5. I'm fond of the top of my dog's head. I call it her kissy head. Thanks for passing on the love to me! I'm honored.

  4. Lovely awards and very well deserved, Rachel!

  5. Congratulations on the awards, Rachel, and thank you for sharing those seven great facts! Thank you too for mentioning my blog. I am very honoured!

  6. I love and honor your seven facts!

    All the best, Rachel -
